6 Days Tanzania Safari. Serengeti Park/ Ngorongoro Crater & Tarangire

You will be picked up from your accommodation in Arusha and drive further through the Masai Steppe via Makuyuni Junction and down to the Tarangire National Park. This is now the fifth largest park of all parks in Tanzania, and the Tarangire National Park is dotted with big Baobab trees and
extraordinarily large herds of elephants; Tarangire is quite a place not to miss while on your African safari to Tanzania if you are a lover of the jumbos or other general large game. The park hosts many animal species, rare breeds like the Oryx and Hirola, and rare bird species. Dinner and Overnight inside the park.

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. Then head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park and later evening overnight inside the park.

Today after breakfast, we do an early morning game drive in this breathtaking park, rising early to make the most of our time. Our guides will choose the best spotting locations for watching a pride of lions, be in the middle of the migration, sometimes surrounded by wildebeest as well as hippo’s pools, sometimes by zebras, which travel with the wildebeest. We journey from the vast open plains to the kopjes: these volcanic rocky outcrops provide protection and shelter for a wide variety of animals from the top who can look out across the vast grasslands. In the afternoon, enjoy your packed lunch at the picnic site or go back to the same tented camp for hot lunch followed
by relaxation enjoying sundowners with drinks or proceeding with a game drive till evening. Return to the centre for dinner and overnight. You will stay overnight inside the park.

Dawn is a good time to watch wildlife,  so you will be up early to join an early morning game drive. You will return to the camp for breakfast before heading for another game drive in the park. Seronera region, you will often see wildebeests and zebras near lions and other predators such as leopards and cheetahs. After a picnic lunch, you will continue your journey towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Once you have reached the crater rim, you will enjoy fantastic views of this 600 m-deep collapsed volcano. You will overnight at the lodge situated on the crater rim.

After an early breakfast, you will drive down the steep narrow road into the crater, the slopes are forested as soon the landscape changes to savannah, and wildlife here is breathtaking, with luck one can observe the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard – in just a few hours,  you can see warthogs, wildebeests, zebras, hippos and some of the more than 500 bird species in the area enjoy game drives in the crater the whole day.  In the evening, return to the lodge overnight

After a morning dedicated to game viewing and a picnic lunch in the Ngorongoro Conservancy, you will leave the park and head to Arusha and transfer to Airport for your flight to your next destination
